a collection of inspiring design

I don’t know about you, but it feels like 2011 is flying by. I can’t believe it’s April already!

I’m thinking that I might be able to stop 2011 from getting away on me if I buy myself a sweet well designed calendar! (or so that’s how I’ll justify it to myself :P). Feel free to click on any of the images for more information.

_______

I’ve taken a liking to bird and owl illustrations of late… imagine that! This calendar depicts 12 different owls with 12 different colour schemes.

Who doesn’t love letterpress, textured paper, and metallic ink? Simple yet beautiful.

Another letterpress design, more colourful and complex.

The following design consists of clever pop-ups that you can print out each month and build yourself. Sweet!

If you want a printable calendar that has less ink coverage, this is the one for you.

Love the use of one colour background with white silhouette. This calendar you can also print out yourself. I think that the extra ink it will take to print it out, well be well worth it!

I love the sweet dreamy illustrations of the following design. I could totally see someone, at the end of the year, framing out a number of these illustrations and hanging them in a child’s room.

Love critters? These cute illustrations are printed double-sided on eco-friendly, sustainably-harvested wood.

Typography and vellum… what’s not to love? (unfortunately, it’s not for sale)

I love how this next calendar combines various patterns and prints with unusual colour schemes.

I’m really digging these one-of-a-kind hand screen-printed monthly designs.

I can’t get enough of bright colours and beautiful patterns.

This one features absolutely gorgeous illustrations depicting a selection of Shakespeare’s classic scenes.

I love the unique graphics that were created for the following calendar… rivals as one of my favorites from this post.

The following design features a different language each month. It’s quirky, endearing, and playful, and oh-so-eco friendly.

I think that the Mucho Muchacho Desk Calendar speaks for itself. ;)

Here’s one photo-based calendar that I could resist including… I think it has something to do with waves, sand and surfers :P.

Not only do I love, love, love the patterns in the following calendar, but they have also been designed to become gift wrap paper and bookmarks at the end of the month. Awesome!

Here’s a great minimalist idea that’s beautiful and practical. Got an important event, etc.? Write it on the peel & stick tab, stick it on the date, and if you need, peel it off and take it with you. Ingenious!

This calendar is similar to the one above but it’s a DIY rendition. Grab some post-it notes. Arrange them on your wall. Make notes of events, things to do/buy, people to see, etc. On your way out the door, grab your note and you’re set for the day!

This funky magnet calendar is a perfect fridge accessory. (Not sure why there is a 32, though? :S)

I really love this fun desk calendar… they should really consider mass producing it.

Who doesn’t love bubble-popping goodness! :D

Oh, chalkboard fun! Perfect for an office or kids room.

Sweet! I hope you are inspired by this gathering of amazing calendar designs. I’ll create a similar post to this before 2012 begins so you can really take advantage.

And yes… yes you’ll hear from Inspireling before then! :)
