I saw the potential in this small Port Stanley store so I offered my services to give it a little facelift. :)  With a tiny budget we set out to transform the place.

I decided on, what I’m calling, a Rustic Beach Theme - light & airy with antique/rustic touches.

I’ve always been fascinated by light! I love it’s ability to transform any boring space into something magical. I’m really digging the recent emphasis on solar-powered lights.

As you know, whenever I’m able, I love promoting products that are available to the average southwestern ontarian. So for you folks, here’s my selection of the coolest of the cool! (Good for the environment and affordable, too!)

A couple of weeks ago I stumbled across the “90 Days with D90″ project, www.90d90.com. A guy started it by creating a video of every photo he took within the first 90 days of purchasing his Nixon D90. I really liked this simple idea but don’t have a Digital SLR, let alone pictures from the first 90 days!

It’s been far too long since my last post. I’ve been so busy, I don’t think I’ve landed in weeks. Over the past month, I started my own business. Things are going very well, I’m keeping busy! Plus I’m spearheading the facelift for my family’s store in Port Stanley. I can’t wait to show before and afters but we’re not there yet. :)

C is for cookies, it’s good enough for me, oh…

My sister, found this great image of a cupcake while searching for discounts/coupons. As soon as she saw it she knew she had to make them. Seeing as I live with her, I obviously had to get my hands in the pot and be apart of making this:
