Friends, it’s hard to believe it’s been 2 weeks since my last posting. I know I promised a post every week but, well, sometimes life happens. In this case, my twin came for a 4 day visit, which was awesome. Then I came down with a dozy of a cold. I’m on drugs as we speak… I mean, as I write this, so things are a little fuzzy. If this blog post feels like it’s lacking flow, it’s probably because it is. :) The average person doesn’t think much about typography, if at all. I’m back again! 3 weeks in a row, I’m on a roll.
Since Avatar blew up on the screens in December of 2009, 3-D design has exploded. Not just in the movies but in traditional 2D design as well. That’s where we, graphic designers, come in. The 3D trend is impacting illustration and text styling. For today I thought I’d focus on 3D text effects and how to create them in Photoshop. So, I’m back for my second posting of the year! Sweet tweet I’m 2 for 2 (if I’m aiming for one a week :P).
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, or up a tree, you’ve probably been hearing a lot about infographics. Essentially, they are designed to visually represent complex information or data quickly and clearly. Some are more successful then others. I’m a visual learner, so I just love these things!
